The Customer

Green Bay Packaging is a leading manufacturer and supplier of customized corrugated shipping containers and coated labels, with more than 40 locations across North America and Mexico. The company’s high growth led to a new business expansion, that resulted in development of a new high-bay warehouse for paper rolls and palletized goods – all ready for shipment.

Our Solution

• Rocla supplied a fleet of AWTsr and AWTsx Rocla AGVs. 
  
  
• Paper rolls can be difficult to transport, and even more so in an automated fashion - making our custom solution a must-have for their application
  
  
• The AGVs support the slitting and packing process and allows for order picking of special customer rolls without multiple handling. This provides a substantial time and cost savings for transporting the product.
  
  
• The AGVs were integrated with the high-bay warehouse and conveyor systems to allow seamless coordination of material movements between warehouse and production.
  
  
• A special interface between the WMS, Rocla AGVS, production machines and the conveyor system were developed to effectively communicate the roll data and other production and data in parallel to the physical transport.
